The Coddling of the American Mind
How Good Intentions and Bad Ideas Are Setting Up a Generation for Failure
By Greg Lukianoff
Meh. Too focused on cancel culture. This is particularly ironic for a Haidt book, but it was hard for me to see past the partisan-bait pearl-clutching takes that are aligned with this one, even though I don't consider this book itself to be either of those things. I agreed with most of the text, especially the free-roam kids stuff, but the tone was more alarmist than I cared for, and I ended up abandoning it. Unusual, I really like Haidt.
